‘He muka nō te taura whiri – a fiber within the braided cord’
Speaks to the importance of each individual contributing to the strength of the collective, emphasising unity and collaboration. Like creating strategies, economic development and organisational culture.
The process of creating Taura Whiri is to bring out the fibres from the Rau Harakeke, prepare and twist them tightly together to form an unbreakable connection from the collection of individual fibers.
For Māori the practise of raranga sees the remanence offered back to the Pā Harakeke and Papatūānuku to break down into the soil and its surroundings. Creating a circular and regenerative economy.
RŌA is an acronym for Rautaki (Strategy), Ōhanga (Economy) and Ahurea (Culture).
Each of these areas create strands that can bring forward fibers, be prepared, refined and twisted to become strong, then woven together to create value.
We wish to weave together thriving outcomes for Māori, and in turn all of Aotearoa. By empowering businesses in Aotearoa to integrate kaupapa Māori into their strategies, policies, operations and governance.
